What is the Right of First Refusal Policy?
Bar/Bat Mitzvah families have up to 6 months prior to their ceremony date to exercise their Right of First Refusal of the Social Hall and after that time, the space is available to anyone on a first come first serve basis.
When can I setup for my event?
For a lunchtime party, you may begin setup no earlier than 8 a.m. For an evening party, you may set up at 4 p.m. Based on scheduling, we can accommodate earlier setups. Please email us to determine availability for early access.
When do my rentals, lighting, etc., need to be cleared from the room?
If it is a lunchtime party, you must have everything cleared out of the room by 4 p.m. For an evening party, your guests must leave the property at 11 p.m. and your rentals must be cleared by midnight. Sometimes we can accommodate Sunday pickups, but please contact us to confirm.
Are confetti blasts allowed?
Yes, but we will add on a $350 cleaning fee.
Do I have to use a preferred caterer?
No, if you want to use a caterer not on our list, it must be pre-approved, and there is an additional $250 fee. Caterers not on the preferred list must do a walk-through with a venue representative prior to the event, provide proof of liability insurance, and Worker’s Comp coverage. The venue will allow mixing milk and meat. Grills are allowed outside on our patio if it is used by one of our preferred caterers.
**Under no circumstances may you consume pork or shellfish at the temple.**
Do you have montage projection equipment?
Yes, you may use our equipment, but we recommend coming in early to test, as it requires Airplay, Chromecast, or an HDMI connection. On the day of the event, you are responsible for playing the montage; there is no technician on-site during the event.
Can I open the air wall for my event?
Yes, opening the air wall will give you about 3 feet more space in your room. However, we do require an additional security guard if you open the airwall. TAS does not supply pipe and drape.
Does TAS supply any linen, china, flatware, barware, etc.?
Does TAS have an icemaker?
How much electricity is available in the room?
We have two 20-amp circuits. If you require more, you will need to rent a generator.
Can we tack anything to the walls or ceiling?
May we use the temple's Torah for our services?
Yes, and the rental price is $250.
Are there any types of events not allowed in this venue?
In order to maintain our 501(c)3 status, we can not allow any political fundraising functions in the space.
